Our Work with other schools

Belleville is well-established in working alongside other schools. We are part of a strong network or ‘alliance’ of local partners, largely in the primary education sector. We believe strongly in a school-led system: schools helping other schools to succeed.

We are a designated Maths Hub and National Support School, and our executive head is a National Leader of Education. These highly regarded designations are part of the government’s plan to give schools a central role in raising standards and improving the quality of education provided for all our children. They are a recognition of the quality of the ongoing outreach and school-to-school work we have been part of and continue to lead.

Maths Hubs are part of a collaborative national network of schools and colleges, which seek to harness maths leadership and expertise in order to develop and spread excellent practice. Their core purpose is to help schools and colleges lead improvement in maths education in England. Belleville was designated as a Maths Hub school in 2013. We are a lead school in the London South West Maths Hub, which covers the London boroughs of Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton, Kingston and Richmond. https://www.londonsouthwestmathshub.co.uk/home/

National leaders of education (NLEs) are outstanding headteachers who, together with the staff in their schools (designated as national support schools), use their skills and experience to help schools in challenging circumstances. Belleville has supported many other schools to improve over recent years. We have extensive experience of working alongside and supporting other schools, across south London and beyond.
