We introduced a House System at Belleville in September 2023. The aim of the House system is to foster and encourage excellent behaviour in line with our CARE and Excellent Learner values, as well as encouraging a healthy sense of competition and developing children’s responsibilities, leadership, and collaborative skills.
There are five houses (named after local streets), led by designated Year 6 House Captains. The Houses and their identifying colours are: Forthbridge (White), Meteor (Red), Northcote (Blue), Wakehurst (Green) and Webb's (Yellow).
All students have been assigned to a specific House and will be in the same House as their siblings. Everyone at Belleville will be involved in representing their House and will work towards achieving House points to contribute to the success of their House.
At the end of each half term there will be a Whole School Assembly, led by Year 6 House Captains, to collectively share the attainment, achievement, and successes of Houses. Winning Houses will be awarded with a House trophy and a collective prize for their House.
House Points
House Points are given out both in and out of lessons to reward children’s effort in all areas of school life: academic, musical, artistic, sporting, behaviour and community endeavours, and students demonstrating the school's CARE and Excellent Learner values.
House Captains
Year 6 House Captains have been nominated by the teaching staff at Belleville and chosen due to their commitment to the Belleville CARE and Excellent Learner values during their time at Belleville. They will begin their roles from the very start of the year. House Captains will support their Houses by leading assemblies and sharing ideas for House charity events and House celebrations across the year.
